Established in 2003, Jackson Hole Contracting is a full service General Contractor, specializing in high end custom homes. We are licensed and insured builders for both residential and commercial construction projects. In addition, we also provide highly skilled sub-contractor work including framing, siding, interior finish carpentry, concrete and house moving. With over sixty projects successfully completed in the Jackson Hole area, JHC’s experience with every detail of the construction process will insure your project is completed in a timely manner and within budget.

Construction is a complex, dynamic business that requires not only a depth of practical industry knowledge but also a keen awareness of customer service. At JHC, we focus our efforts on our ability and experience to masterfully compose every detail with superb execution to the ultimate satisfaction of our customer. Craig Olivieri – Owner

As Owner of Jackson Hole Contracting, Craig’s attention to detail and meticulous care of his projects began with combined passions for quality wood working, and a background in business management under the guidance of his father, a successful owner of a printing company in Connecticut. It was there he learned the complexities of managing people, handling products, and especially the value of integrity in business and delivering to his customers what he promised.

Once Craig was introduced to the beauty of wood working, he was fascinated by the link between what the brain could conceive and the hand could create. In 2001, with years of practical business experience under his belt, and a desire to use his enthusiasm for wood working as a career, Craig packed up and made another dream come true by moving west to live by the mountains in Jackson Hole.

After arriving in Jackson, Craig worked as a Project Manager for a local developer who built large, multimillion-dollar, custom log and timber framed homes. Within two years, Craig went out on his own and Jackson Hole Contracting was born. Driven by his love for building beautiful homes in one of the most scenic areas in the country, Craig and Jackson Hole Contracting have managed over fifty projects throughout the valley, resulting in some of the most stunning homes you can find. Surrounded by a crew of the best architects, tradespeople and project managers, Craig and JHC pride themselves on giving homeowners what was promised, and doing so on time and within the budget. His enthusiasm has never waned, and he continues to deliver the highest quality craftsmanship and world-class customer service to all his clients.

Tim Dalton – Project Manager

By the time Tim finished college, he had visited Jackson Hole enough to fall in love with the area. He moved here permanently in 1988, taking on a variety of jobs including landscaping, construction, painting, and ranching. It was the construction business that excited him the most, so he decided to pursue a career in the field and went to work for a local builder, building single family homes for twelve years. From there he moved on to work as a Superintendent for another local, high-end builder, managing the construction of large, custom homes for another five years.

Tim joined Jackson Hole Contracting as a Project Manager and has made a positive impact on the business due to the meticulous care, and pride he takes in all his projects. His perfectionism is appreciated not only by the company, but also by the customers he works with who are assured every job will be completed with the finest details done correctly.

Brian Nystrom – Project Manager

Brian’s introduction to the construction business began at an early age when he went to work with his bricklayer father, and started by carrying hod. As he grew, he began to watch other tradespeople working and developed an appreciation, and knack, for carpentry. After spending several years fine tuning his skills, and developing his business aptitude through practical experience and an instinctive understanding of the importance of excellent customer service, Brian brought his knowledge and strong work ethic to work in Jackson Hole in 1980.

His first job was working with a local building mover. After only three years, he was able to buy the company from the owner and run it himself. Under his supervision, the company expanded and grew. They not only moved structures of all shapes, sizes, and complexities throughout Wyoming and Idaho, but soon included excavation, concrete works, renovations, and new construction. He directed all phases of the business, and was well respected for his strength in customer relationships, his attention to detail, logistics, and ability to solve problems in the field.

In 2010, Brian closed his business and joined forces with Jackson Hole Contracting as a project manager. In this position, he has been able to continue to use the same skills and knowledge that made him a successful business owner for so many years, while serving customers with the same care and attention he knows they expect and deserve.

Ben Hilke – Project Manager

Originally from Michigan, Ben Hilke, like so many who choose the construction trade for a career, grew up with a woodworker father. After college, Ben thought he wanted to go in a different direction and worked as an import/export logistics manager, a job that taught him the value of time management and directing a crew of people under his supervision. Soon enough, the construction trade called to him and he ran his own contracting business in SC for fifteen years. After visiting his wife in Jackson Hole, he made the decision to move here. His first job was as a finish carpenter for JHC, after which he worked for Grand Teton Lodge Co. as a project manager. Because he knew the quality of JHC’s work, and their high standards of professionalism, he hired them to take on several projects for GTLC, and eventually made his way home as a project manager for JHC again. Although Ben appreciates working on beautiful residential projects, he feels more of a connection making commercial spaces just as beautiful.

Alice Stelzer – Office Manager

Alice Stelzer grew up on a ranch outside of Kelly, WY, working by her father’s side from a very young age, helping him feed and hay the cattle, building and remodeling barns, fences, parts of their home, branding, driving tractors; anything her Dad did, she did, too. When still wearing footie pajamas, Alice used graph paper to draw her own home designs complete with secret passages, hidden gardens and reading nooks. At University of WY, Alice’s love of math, problem solving, and designing was manifested in her study of mechanical engineering. She found jobs heavy in customer service, including sales, inventory control specialist, and finally Assistant Manager at Boot Barn in both Laramie and Jackson. Alice brings a strong ranch-family work ethic, love of numbers and of building, to her position as office manager at JHC.
